Bharat Tex 2025: A Grand Showcase of Sustainability and Innovation in Textiles

The much-anticipated second edition of Bharat Tex 2025 is set to be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, on February 12, 2025, at Expo Mart, Greater Noida. With an expected presence of international buyers, dignitaries, and key industry stakeholders, the event promises to catalyse business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

A Stronger, More Impactful Edition

Building on the success of Bharat Tex 2024, this year’s event will put a strong emphasis on sustainability. The global textile industry is shifting towards eco-friendly materials, circular economy practices, and energy-efficient production, and Bharat Tex 2025 is poised to lead this transformation.

According to Shri Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), sustainability is no longer just a trend but a necessity. “Bharat Tex 2025 will showcase innovative advancements such as organic fabrics, recycled materials, and energy-efficient production techniques. The ready-made garment (RMG) sector is experiencing robust growth, reinforcing global trust in ‘Made in India’ products.”

India’s Rising Global Textile Presence

India’s RMG exports have shown double-digit growth, with a cumulative increase of 11.6% from April to December 2024-25 compared to the previous year. Strong Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), supportive state policies, and new measures from the Union Budget 2025-26, such as credit support for MSMEs and customs duty rationalization, have further bolstered the industry.

“Government initiatives, including the negotiation of tariff and non-tariff barriers and regulatory reforms, have strengthened India’s position as a reliable global textile hub,” added Shri Sekhri.

A Global Stage for Business and Innovation

This year, Bharat Tex 2025 is expected to host delegations from 110 countries, along with leading global brands and retail chains. The event will facilitate:

  • Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Strategic Partnerships
  • B2B and G2G Networking Sessions
  • Thematic Discussions on Sustainability and Circularity
  • Exhibitions, Product Launches, and Interactive Pavilions

With policymakers, industry leaders, and top executives in attendance, Bharat Tex 2025 is set to drive foreign investments, joint ventures, and technological advancements in the textile sector.

A Vision for the Future

Bharat Tex 2025 aims to position India as a global leader in sustainable textiles. The event will feature dedicated pavilions on sustainability, digitalization, and circular fashion, along with interactive fabric testing zones and masterclasses by seasoned craftsmen.

As Bharat Tex continues to evolve into a premier international textile platform, its second edition marks a significant step towards transforming India’s textile industry into a futuristic, eco-conscious powerhouse.
