The Federation of Indian Export Organisations recently organized an Export Meet in collaboration with the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC). K.M. Subramanian, President of the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA), delivered the keynote address, shedding light on the critical role of export credit risk management and ECGC’s contributions to international trade.
Subramanian highlighted ECGC’s transformative role in supporting Indian exporters through export credit insurance. This insurance mitigates risks associated with international trade and ensures exporters maintain smooth cash flows. Furthermore, it empowers exporters to expand into new markets confidently, fostering global competitiveness.
He also emphasized TEA’s efforts in raising awareness about the importance of insurance in export trade. By organizing regular exporters’ meets, TEA has facilitated informed discussions and collaborations. These events have proven impactful, with ECGC disbursing significant payments as settlements for claims made by TEA members.
This initiative underscores the importance of partnerships between organizations like TEA and ECGC in ensuring the sustained growth and success of India’s export sector.
