NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Tiruppur, marked World Saree Day with unparalleled enthusiasm and artistic brilliance. The event, held on campus, celebrated the rich cultural heritage of sarees from across India. First-year Apparel Fashion Design students stole the spotlight by presenting breathtaking creations inspired by iconic saree traditions.

Highlights of the Event

The celebration featured artistic representations of:

  • Patola from Gujarat
  • Kathakali motifs from Kerala
  • Ajrakh prints from Rajasthan
  • Temple patterns from Tamil Nadu
  • Navari from Maharashtra
  • Rishta designs from Himachal Pradesh

Participants displayed remarkable ingenuity by using eco-friendly and versatile materials such as coir mats, acrylic paints, and markers to bring their visions to life.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. C. Kandasamy, Management Coordinator, as the Chief Guest. Joining him was Dr. P.P. Gopalakrishnan, Principal of NIFT-TEA College, who commended the students’ efforts and creativity.
